10/19/2007Kevin recently appeared on WROC-TV, Rochester's local CBS affiliate and RNEWS, Rochester's cable news, to discuss his latest mountain climbing adventure. After reaching the top of Everest in May, 2004, Kevin continued his journey to reach the top of the highest peaks on each continent. He recently achieved this goal by scaling to the top of the Carstensz Pyramid in Indonesia. Now, Kevin is a member of an elite group of only about 90 people (30 Americans) in the world to ever achieve this feat.

12/06/2006By reaching the 7,310 foot top of Kosciuszko in Australia on November 7, 2006 at 12:30PM, Kevin Flynn became part of a very exclusive club: those who have reached the summit of the highest peak on each of the seven continents.
For Kevin, this completes an epic 14-year journey covering over 90,000 miles and 130,000 vertical feet–and that’s just on the way up!

The 2006 Benjamin Franklin Award winner will be chosen from one of the three finalists and will receive the Benjamin Franklin Award during a ceremony on Wednesday evening, May 17, 2006 at the Washington, DC Convention Center.

12/03/2005On Saturday, December 3rd at approximately 5:30 PM, Kevin Flynn and the team lead by Phil
Ershler of International Mountain Guides (IMG) reached the summit of Mount Vinson. At 16,067
feet, this is the highest mountain in Antarctica. The team descended without incident and flew
off of the continent a few days later. For Flynn it was his sixth of the seven summits. (He has
